The Greatest Q&A Session Of The Last Decade

Zidane and Kaka took part in a charity match to benefit Haiti in Lisbon, Portugal a few months ago. To support that event Kaka visited a local school to field questions from children. The following is a transcript of that session.

Kaka: Hello, Children! I'm very happy to be here with all of you and answer any questions you have for me. Who's first?

Annie: Hi, Kaka. I'm Annie and I just want to know -- what is your favorite animal?

Kaka: I like giraffes. I saw some of them when we were in South Africa for the Confederations Cup last summer. That was a good question, Annie. Who has another one?

Diego: Hi, Kaka. My name is Diego and I'm nine years old. My question is: why did you cause the earthquake in Haiti? I think that was mean.

Kaka: Uh, no no -- Diego. I think you misunderstood. I didn't cause it, we're just trying to help the people involved by raising money for them with a football match. But I didn't cause the earthquake myself. Now, uh, who has another question?

Fran: Hi, Kaka. My name is Fran and I have a lizard. Where are you going to make the next earthquake happen? Please don't do it to my house.

Kaka:
No, children -- I can't cause earthquakes. I don't do that -- I wouldn't do that. I didn't cause the one in Haiti and I would certainly never cause one to hit your house. How about we, uh, have some questions on a different topic. Does anyone want to know how many goals I scored when I was 10 years old?

Sammi: Hi, Kaka. I'm Sammi and you are my most favorite player. My dad said that if you don't start playing better and make Real Madrid win the league, then we're going to have to eat DVDs for dinner until next season. Why do you want me to eat DVDs, and do you know if the Bad Boys II DVD tastes good?

Kaka: Oh wow. I -- I don't know. But I don't want that to happen at all. Why would you think that? Oh wow. Ok, I'm sorry but maybe we should stop now. This is-

Alexander: Hi, Kaka. My name is Alex and I play football, too. My question is: sometimes I like to burn stuff.

Kaka: Um. OK...so what's you're question, Alex?

[Alexander just stares]

Kaka: Alright, this is, uh -- this is not going how I expected. I think we should probably have one more question and then call it a day. Who has one more? Maybe about football? Please?

Barry: Hi, Kaka. I'm Barry, I'm eight, and I have question about football.

Kaka: Great! What's your question, Barry?

Barry: What do you like more, playing football or causing earthquakes?

Kaka: Jesus.

The real hero

http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_ylt=AvUTYOyYfiMHGExdc0FvtQ45nYcB?slug=ki-guerrero072210

The article above is about a boxer that chose to be beside his wife suffering leukemia and surrender his title rather than fight in what could have been a life changing fight for him. He is a true hero, he is the kind of athlete kids should idolize. Instead our pop culture looks to the bad boys that are standard jerks. Why do we do this? What if we lived in a culture that people that are true heroes are the ones on Wheaties boxes, how different would our kids grow up? How different would our society be like?

Side Note: Could you imagine that all that money people waste on buying/watching things like Jersey Shore, or shows and products that are very wasteful of our minds and ethics, was spent on funding research in cancer, funding hospitals, money to the poor, etc. The world would be a much better place. A little off topic and said many times before, but this article just brought it to the forefront of my mind.

USA Beats Algeria Last Minute To Advance in WCup

The most heart attack prone game I have ever watched was USA vs Algeria. US should've went ahead so many times, and did on a goal that was called offside (which replays show was not). This further makes me wonder if FIFA is anti-USA? Anyway we won anyway on a late goal from my boy Landon Donovan.

Here is some videos of reactions to the goal. It's a shame since the first video is in Seattle at a bar I went to often and this was one of the few WCup matches I didn't see there. I could have been on TV... :(

Thoughts on the English National Team

I believe England always tends to not do well in World Cups because of the English people. There I said it. The people, especially the media, always tends to put all the pressure on a single player every single tournament. We saw it on Becks in '06 and now it's on Rooney. When one man feels that he must carry the entire team you have already lost. The second Rooney is shut down and unaffective, as in the last two matches, the entire English squad is lost on what to do. You must realize a team wins matches not a player. USA is purely a team, we don't have super massive players to put the whole match on. And our mentality is alot healthier, as long as we can figure how to stop conceding goals.

I believe the day the English realize that a team is more important than it's individuals and starts calling players that will work well as a unit rather than famous names then you will see some glory. Hopefully you can figure this out by 2018.

ps Gerrard as a left mid? come on Capello...

USA ROBBED OF VICTORY!

FIFA needs to investigate this ref. Every single free kick we took the play was called back on an infraction that didnt occur. This ref made some serious deals before this game ever happened. He also didn't even add time for the injury that happened in extra time. I CALL FOUL PLAY!!!!!!!!
